THE BATTLE ANGRY, CIVIL SOCIETY IS ORGANIZED

Toribío, Sunday April 17 2005.

The morning was quiet until ten o'clock, when the mass. With Ezio father had decided to suspend the mass in the village of birth in the afternoon, since that sector was full of murderers cartel FARC-EP on a war footing and also that of the suspended six p.m. in the village: "Nobody will want to go out at night with so many criminals on the lookout ...

They proclaim the first reading when they heard three shots dry in the back of the temple. There was a pretty intense firefight ...

He was singing hallelujah when I look through the door of the sacristy a lady ... very afraid of a terrorist sniper had fired at two policemen who were out of the trench hiriéndolos seriously. We spent all the chapel "Roattina" safer there and continue with the mass.

I had to proclaim the gospel of the Good Shepherd while outside sounded the drums of war. It was not easy. Least make his homily with the same hammer. At the time of the offertory things seemed calm so people could return home in peace ...

... Ezio knew that the father had gone to hospital with two police officers wounded by a sniper from the mafia ... He told us later that the first was dead and another was taken by helicopter ... We received news from Cali who also died ...

At the end we got the two (with Ezio) to San Francisco and he presided over the mass. When everything was quiet ... we went back down. In the Mitsubishi driven by Marta I drove up the white flag with a beautifully hand broom and an old towel in the Vitara driven by Ezio, instead stole the white flag fulfilled its role to perfection ... we arrived at Cecidic.

This was the day that the indigenous organization, with its strong tradition of resistance, began to react ... The Cecidic no food shortage, brought from the shops of the town of San Francisco ... Toribío and the indigenous guard was mobilized and ... announced the day after the arrival of caravans of all paths resguardos Northern Cauca, to demonstrate for peace and self-determination against the armed groups.

The father went to Sozzi Jambaló internet to send this story, but there also caught him making the same terrorists. That part of the newspaper is still in draft.

GENOCIDE IN TORIBIO, CAUCA, COLOMBIA

April 27, 2005

Any thinking human being moderately feels chill to see what they are capable fellow.

Cast cylinders with explosive charges against an unarmed indigenous people, is an act of brutality without limits that can not be explained or justified in any way by any ideology, for it seems good.

The FARC attack against the civilian population of Toribío is an event that can not let pass unnoticed and deserves the strongest condemnation by those who claim to defend human rights, which until now have not spoken syllable and half .

It is frankly baffling the silence of those who tear their hair out when they seek to blame the security forces or the government for violations of human rights, but silent before the aberrant actions of the guerrillas.

I am sure that the dead know no ideology, and that a slaughter committed by paramilitaries and drug traffickers is simply a slaughter that deserves the same punishment for perpetrators, but some would have us believe that it is not. Other deaf people in this tragedy are those who condemn the indigenous stock who steal a chicken, but do not appear in the media so large protest to shame.

How long will compatriots dying at the hands of armed men to justify their heinous acts with outdated ideas and empty words?

Colombians can not allow a few miserable impose the power of weapons, on the power of life, reason and justice.

Twenty thousand ensoberbecidos bandits can not kneel and submit to forty-four million Colombians who only seek to live in peace and work honestly.

He feels a deep sadness when society keeps silent, absorbed in their little pettiness and not his voice rising to reject those who want us to stop bullets, and to impose their own twisted ideas.

We are good, but does not appear. It is time to prove and that the whole world understands that there is nothing valuable or beautiful in a revolution built on the corpses of innocent civilians.
